9 Months Down!!!! WOW!!!!

It's been a while since I have posted anything on the blog.....sorry  Elder Lamb! I have all the time in the world now devoted to your blog tonight!!!!  I have enjoyed posting pictures and letting everyone know about how Elder Lamb is doing.  He has been growing and continues to teach and love the people of Honduras!!! We as a family are growing as well.  Our testimonies of the Jesus Christ grow everytime he shares his experiences with us; good and not so good. We love missionary work and love to share the gospel as well with others.  The love of the gospel envelops our home and we absolutely love to share that with others.  Elder Lamb, keep loving the people and teaching and "forget yourself and go to work!"

Elder Mansilla and Elder Lamb have loved being companions! They will be brothers for life! It looks like they wear even matching ties.

This is the most recent baptisms.  They have been teaching them for a few months and set the baptism date and were baptized on March 29, 2014.  What a great day and they all look so happy.  This is what the gospel brings to families: HAPPINESS!!!

SO happy!!!!

On PDays sometimes Zach gets to shop! He just couldnt resist the Brazilian soccer shirt. This made his dad real proud of him.

He just happened to find a tie with an alligator playing golf on it....... this probably wont fly as a missionary tie........wear it when you get home!!!

This was one of  the first baptisms that Elder Mansilla was in his mission for.  Such a great family.

He has still got his fun personality!!!! We Love you Zach!!!

This is when Elder Lamb was just barely put in as a District Leader in his area in La Ceiba.  As a DL you interview the investigator for baptism.  This young man that wanted to be baptized met Zach and they had an immediate connection.  During the interview, the young man then asked Zach if he would baptize him.  Elder Lamb was surprised! He had the honor of baptizing this young man that day.  What a fun experience.

What a sweet family this is.  The mom and two of the kids were baptized just after their dad was deceased. They will be blessed!!!!

Ok...... so before everyone freaks out when you see the next few pics.....don't worry!!!! These Elders got permission from their mission president to go golfing on PDAY! They had a blast! Zach has missed going golfing and after you see the greens on this course....I think he will kiss the putting greens here when he gets home.  Everything else was so pretty on the course, except the greens.

See...... This looks so beautiful and it was. The fairway is gorgeous!!!!

Still has his swing!!!!!!

Getting ready to golf!!!! Just so awesome!

The greens are not so easy to putt on!!! Ya think? Still a pretty course though!

So HAPPY to be on the course!!!!

This is the coolest picture! He even found a "Pro V One" ball!! What could be better than that!

His District had so many people at a missionary activity that they were rewarded by having a soccer match!!!

Elder Lamb has gotten really good at taking "selfies".  Here he is on  pday taking a hike in the mountains in La Ceiba. Beautiful Country!!!!!

Part of his district!

What a precious family.  They have wanted to be baptized for so long and circumstances didn't permit it until Feb. 22, 2014 (which happens to be my birthday). They were so excited to be able to get baptized and that made it a great birthday for me too.

What a great picture and he will forever remember them!!

Eating lunch in La Ceiba. What fabulous members to make food and keep my boy healthy and strong!!!

"Selfie" at lunch!!! very hungry and ready to eat..... what you say????? Take a look at the next pic.  By the way..... Elder Lamb is absolutely loving the food in Honduras...even sea food.  He had tried a lot of things but never this................

...................He didnt expect the fish to still be breathing. lol not really.  But none the less he was so grateful for the meal that was prepared for him.  He loves the selflessness of the members who are always so willing to do anything for the Elders.  Love it!!!!!

We would like to thank all of you for writing to Zach.  He loves the emails and letters and packages.  Keep them coming!!!  We are so happy to have a missionary out serving and teaching.  There is no place he would rather be!!! LOVE him!!!!

  1. Great pictures! When you're not working hard, you may as well play hard as well. Reminds me of the one time I was able to get on a golf course in Peru.
