Lots of Changes!!!

Well.... its been over a month since I have posted last.  Bear with me because there are a ton of pictures and lots to update you on.  Elder Lamb is doing so well. As you will be able to see in the pictures that I will post! He has been transfered La Cieba to open a new area, train a new missionary, Elder Mansilla, and has the added challenge of leading his district.  He says that this area has lots of huge hills and amazing views.  We are so grateful that he has many opportunities to progress.  Enjoy..................

Tranfer day! Yes...Zach got transfered after being in the same area for close to 6 months! WOW!! Its like he is leaving family all over again. He has met the greatest people in the world and I have to give a huge shout out to Nohemi for taking such great care of my son while living in her home.  She is an amazing example of service and giving all that you have to the building up of the church.  She will forever hold a special place in my heart.  Thank you Nohemi!!!
This pic is of Elder Lamb and on his left is the Elder who trained him.  He is grateful to him as well for teaching him when he was such a "greeny".

This is Elder Lamb and Elder Esplin.  This Elder and Zach met at the temple about 1 week before they met yet again at the MTC where they were in the same district! They were excited to see eachother at transfers.

These are Elder Lamb's new digs! Not too bad! He is very lucky to have had 2 great houses two areas in a row!!!

Elder Lamb and the rest of the Elders in his area.  This cute family gave him a going away dinner, party and everything!

Dinner with this great family.

They even made Elder Lamb his very own pinata. Its quite good....someone has some talent in that family!!!

Elder Lamb, "Elder Pinata", and Elder Winkel at the party.

They even made him a cake!

Such a great group of Elders that will be friends forever because of the mission!!!

Zach is pretty proud of his shoes from "Holmes Clothing".  Best purchase ever!!!!He takes such great care of them. 6 months of use!!!!

So, a few weeks ago, Nohemi took the 4 Elders and her son, Jose, to the Honduras Botanical Gardens.  The next few photos are of their adventures on top of a mountain.

This is Jose, Nohemi's son! And Nohemi! He lives in Pennsylvania and is visiting his mom in Honduras.  Zach says they are going to be best friends!

Elder Winkel, Elder Lamb, and Elder Criddle holding a star fruit.  That fruit is yummy!!! @the Botanical Gardens.

Elder Lamb and Elder Winkel at the top of the mountain that they climbed.

This is such some pics that he took while at the gardens.  The purple bush I call it and the tree is actually a cousin to the "Papyrus" trees that the Egyptians wrote their scrolls on.

This is a piece of bark from the tree. Pretty cool that ancient egyptians actually wrote on bark similar to this!

This is "Gramma" Nohemi.  She is the sweetheart who took care of my Elder!!! I will meet her someday to thank her in person!!

This pic is a great one of the Elders with Jose, Nohemi's son.

Here is Zach holding a baby chic!  He said that when they walked up the mountain, they only found 2 families living in this remote area.  Not another soul in site! These kids walk to and from school everyday and it takes 1 hour to walk there and 2 hours to get home.  They are amazing and they love it so much!!! It makes me realize how blessed we are to live to close to everything and that we cant take anything for granted.

This is an amazing picture. All of these ants were scurrying about trying to get their work done gathering food before the big rainstorm.

I thought this was very interesting.  This is a coffee press machine.  This is how they process all the coffee beans.  Interesting!!!

Ok.... I thought this was hilarious!! Yes! that is the start of a Honduras crocheted blanket.  At night just before bed Zach has time to do a little crocheting. lol There is nothing wrong with developing your talents right??? Well, the funny thing is that Elder Winkel and the other Elders saw what he was doing so they wanted to learn.  Its a great stress release for Zach so they thought they might try it too.

There they are learning to crochet. lol:)

Well.....after trying.....Elder Winkel didnt think that it was such a good stress reliever!.......Not so much fun! lol

He said that he finally found his favorite trees in the world!!!

Well, it was Nohemi's birthday at the beginning of January and the Elders decided to get her a cake and take it to her at 6:00 AM!!!! Kind of early!!!

So NICE!!!!

They made Spaghetti with alfredo sauce and garlic bread! Yum!!!

Elder Winkel making garlic bread.

Finished product!!

Can't have dinner withouth dessert!!! ......Zach had to take his tie off to use his scouting skills to build a fire so they could roast marshmallows!

The Elders eating more S'mores!!!

Nohemi and The Elders on Christmas day at the Christmas dinner she made for them.

MMMMMMMM.......YUMM!!!!

Ready for Christmas Dinner!!!

Dinner gets a thumbs up!!! Thank you Nohemi!!!

I love that she has taken such great care of those Elders.  She will be blessed so much!!!

We were so lucky to be able to Skype with our missionary yesterday on Christmas! It was the best Christmas Present EVER!!!!! He was so happy and we laughed the entire time.  Not one tear was shed! I was so proud of myself:)  He is having the time of his life in Honduras with such amazing people!! They are his family now and will be forever. Our family is forever grateful to them for taking great care of Elder Lamb.

These next few photos are of Elder Lambs ward's Christmas Party in Honduras.  They go all out and they also combined it with a ward talent show.

Its always fun to see friends that you knew before the mission at a mission activity!  This is a pic of Elder Lamb making gingerbread houses.  It was fun for him to see his friend Sister Porter, from Highland, Utah, at the activity.

Another Picture of great friends.

And here is the finished product!!! Gingerbread House Honduran Style Christmas 2013!!!!

They welcomed a new missionary to their area....Welcome Elder Criddle!! Elder Criddle is from Sandy, Utah!!! This group of 4 Elders are sure working hard in their area!!!

This is the house of Nohemi. She is the wonderful lady letting the missionaries live in the other half of her home.  She is doing remodeling and adding to her home.

She even let them leave their mark in her home.  Their names will be there forever!!!!!

This is a little girl that was just baptized.  She is such a cutie.

This is everyone that came to the baptism. What great support and great people.

This is a hammock that Zach bought for only $7.00......Well he thought it was big enough  for him to sit in..... Think again................LOL!!!!

Not quite big enough.......:)

So the hammock ended up in the bathroom as a "shelf" of some sort!!!

Pizza Party!!!! Each Elder bought their own Large pizza and devoured it all by themselves!! What a great group of Elders!!!

This is going by so fast!!!! Elder Lamb will be home before you know it! We are so happy to be sharing his mission with you and the experiences he is having! Thank you for your support and any of you are welcome to write him letters and emails.  He would love that!!! We love missionary work and the love and blessings it brings to so many people around the world.  Until next time........
