Happy Day when its pday in the mission!! .... especially for the mama's!

Here it is only 1 week and I'm already updating his blog!!! This is such a shocker to all of you, especially to me!
Here are some pictures and an update from our sweet Elder Lamb...
He is so excited this week after many prayers have gone out on his and his companions behalf.  They are seeing the miracles happen for them. Thank you to our family and friends who continue to pray for the missionaries through out the world.
One of those miracles may be small to some of you, but its huge to missionaries who don't eat dinner every night and that don't have a ton of members who are so willing or have the means to feed these sweet elders.  As some of you may know Elder Lamb doesn't have the most amount of meat on his bones.... well, he keeps losing what weight he has. He and his companion walk everywhere they go when they are proselyting so its hard to keep the weight on.  Not to mention he doesn't get to eat very much.  Well, last week they had not eaten dinner for a few nights and all of their appointments fell through and they didn't know where to go until they received a phone call from one of the sweet sisters in their branch who invited them to come eat dinner at her home and to be there in 20 minutes.  Needless to say they were soooo grateful and so humbled that Heavenly Father answered their prayers for someone to reach out and feed them.  They have money to buy food, don't get me wrong, however, they have no time to stop and fix meals when they are so far from their home.  And to make things worse, there is no fast food in his area.  I told him how grateful I am for that sweet sister for listening to the spirit and having the means and to act on what she felt that night.
Miracle #2 is just awesome! Elder Lamb has been asking us to pray that they find a family to teach who is married with children so they can be baptized and have the blessings of the an eternal family. He was so excited to tell us that prayers have been answered.  They were working one day and found a family of 9 all living in one home.  The dad lives here in the states for work but the rest of the family is in Honduras and they were found.  They have started teaching them and invited them to come to church and 5 out of the 9 came to church and they are continuing to progress.  We will keep praying for this family.  Elder Lamb is so happy! He loves his mission.
Now to the pictures he keeps sending... I just love seeing him!

This is Elder Lamb's new companion Elder Garcia.  He is from Federal District of Mexico.  He is a great missionary and a great example of an excellent student of the Gospel.  He loves to study the gospel.  They are also companions to a new missionary, Elder Shepherd, from Centerville, Utah.  He is also a great missionary. What a great trio!!

This is a little "baptism card" left by Elder Lamb to these great investigators on their baptism day! Notice that the temple is the next goal they have in mind for them. :) Elder Lamb claims he got his mad drawing skills from me. lol

This is the baptismal font that they move into the chapel when they have baptisms in Songuera. How awesome is that!

Elder Lamb has almost been out for 15 months!! oh my goodness how time flies! WE are so grateful to document his mission right here on his blog to share with all of you.  He is loving his mission and the Honduran people.  It has become his 2nd home.  A lot has happened since my last post from May 22nd. Elder Lamb is now a Zone Leader in Tocoa, Honduras.  He is so excited to learn and progress even more. Please enjoy the pictures!! Some are a little PG-13 and a little graphic due to the content and will have something to do with machetes and turtles and rats.... just keep scrolling down to see what Im talking about.  Love the pics and we love our missionary!!!

What a blessing it is to have so many faithful missionaries around the world who can teach the gospel and share the plan of salvation with families. We are so happy for the Thomas family and the journey that they are beginning!!!

So right after the baptism, their branch decided to have a branch activity night! So fun!!!

I think the resemblance is almost exact! lol What a fun game it turned out to be! Everyone loved it!!

Missionaries always have to find some fun when there is a little downtime.  There is very little to no downtime so this is what they come up with..... :) can you find my Zach???

This is the highlight of his mission thus far! He planned and carried out his first Zone Conference.  He has never done that before and it was so awesome! What a great learning experience and what a great opportunity to be taught by President Klein! What an amazing man he is.  Zach looks up to him so much! This pic in the helicopter isn't too bad either. lol sooo cool!!!!!!

He had the privilege to go on exchanges with President Klein and meet some of the people they are teaching! So fun!

Well its time for transfers and Zach has been in La Ceiba for about 6 months as district leader.  He will sure miss all of the members there in La Ceiba.  They have taken such great care of Elder Lamb and he is sure going to miss these cute little sisters!!! This family has taken such great care of my son along with so many others.  What sweet little girls.

Such a great family! The little boy Ever is so excited to be baptized!!!

Ever almost cracked a smile!!! What a cutie! Well..... two cuties!

We all know how much the adversary works so hard to change the minds of these awesome investigators to persuade them to not make this covenant of baptism. This situation was no different. But it was for our family back here in Utah! This young man was being tested and he is such a strength. In a letter about two weeks prior to his baptism Zach asked us to pray for this young man specifically in our family prayers. Elder Lamb said that with our faith and prayers along with his and his companions and with the members there in La Ceiba that miracles would happen and that he would not be tempted! Well, my kids and my husband and I prayed for him everyday.  The Monday after his baptism, Zach wrote about the miracles that occurred because Heavenly Father answers prayers. This young man was baptized and is so happy!!! We thank Zach for letting our family be apart of his mission in this way.  What a blessing it was for us!!!

I think they are all so happy!

Great friends!!!!

Some members in their ward needed help mowing their lawn. They mowed the lawn with machetes! AAAAHHHH!!! and look what they found and killed! A RAT!!!! Sicko big time!!!!!! Sorry about the graphicness of these pics.

And yet another service project! Love how much our Elders serve and do service for others. It scares me to have Zach have a roller and paint in his hands..... Zach... you know why.... Do baseboards and Colorado and lots and lots of white paint in the garage ring a bell????? :) With dad rolling his tongue? lol

Sorry Juarez family if he got out of control with the paint.......:)

So , Elder Lamb was so proud to tell me that he didn't even pass out seeing all of the guts and grossness of it all!!! Good for him.... he is managing his fainting!!!

Thought I would add a super yummy looking picture of banana bread that someone made for him! He said that it is the best banana bread he has ever had!! ..... Watch out Tom... you may have some competition!!!

How I love this quote!!! Our missionaries hold the priesthood and are doing such a sweet service for all to partake of. ... the blessings of baptism and the gospel.  Let's pray for our missionaries world wide for their protection and safety and that they will find families to teach and invite to come unto Christ!!!
