5 Months and going strong!!!

Elder Lamb is doing so well in Honduras!! I can't believe he has been on his mission now for 5 months!  Time flies so fast.  We miss him and love him so much.  So these past 2 weeks have been awesome for him.  He is having a blast with his new companion, Elder Winkel, from Spanish Fork.  They are teaching a ton and serving like crazy.  Below are some more pics that he has sent.  He is so good at taking pics and updating us.  We love it and love to share with all of you as well:)

First of all....... I am so proud of he and his companion for keeping their little home as clean as they do.  This is what it looks like on a daily basis.  Happy MAMA!!

I am so happy that he received his Christmas package!!! This is an idea I got from a friend of mine off facebook.  All of the ornaments are hand written messages from his family here in Utah... We love him and will miss him at Christmas.

Elder Lamb and Elder Winkel decided that the paper tree needed some lights so they put lights around the tree on the wall.  So creative!!!

Always doing service.  This is Zach taking out cement.... he said that they did a ton of work that day.
Elder Winkel and Elder Lamb.... becoming great friends!

So for about 3 days last week, all 800 missionaries in the country of Honduras were asked by the area presidency to stay in their homes.  The people were electing a new President and it can get very dangerous to be on the streets during this time.  So the next few pics are of some of the Elders in their home all hunkered down for 3 days......

During this time, they had 2 other Elders stay in their home for 3 days.  It was tight but they made the best of it studying ..................................

And More studying..................................
And EATING lots and lots of Salsa.........................
And Sleeping........................................................
Zach also learned how to do the rubix cube in 3minutes and 44 seconds.  Thanks to Elder Winkel who taught him.... so smart!
The Wonderful Sister who lets the Elders live in one side of her home is remodeling the bathroom.... well.... she decided to redo the roof.............needless to say they don't have much of a place to shower.  LOL!! They are so lucky to live in her home.  She takes such great care of the missionaries.  I am so grateful for her.
Atleast it has a ton of fresh air!!!
On Pdays, they get to have time to get in a round of pool!! So fun that its just on the back porch! Great Companions!!!

At this time of Thanksgiving, we are truly grateful for Elder Lamb and his service that he is rendering in the fields of Honduras!!  He is such a great example to our family and we love him so very much!  We pray for his safety on the mission.  He is having the time of his life and we are so happy for him.   MUAH!!!!!!

I haven't blogged in the last 3 weeks so here goes.....
This amount of "Lempira's" is equal to $1.00. Wow!!!

Here is the other pair of shoes that we bought at Holmes Clothing in Ogden.   Amazing that they still look brand new!!! Love that place!!

This family is so amazing.   He skips work to go teach with the missionaries all the time.  He is the best member missionary in the world.  Elder Lamb just loves him.

This is on the bus going to the stake center to watch General Conference.

This is the one great family!! The Sister on the far right is the Relief Society President and is so wonderful! This was taken just before they got on the bus to go to the stake center to watch General Conference.

This is the room at the church that the missionaries that watched in English could view General Conference.  And that is our friend Elder Hancock from Arizona!!!

This is a gross rodent rat that they found in the corner of their yard..... sick!!! and its HUGE!!

This is the sweet lady that the missionaries live with and she takes care of them.  She even makes them breakfast most mornings.

OKAY...... I never thought that I would see Elder Lamb cutting the heads off of chickens let alone standing up without fainting when seeing the blood....  SICKO!!!!

AND.... Here are the poor little heads!!!

The streets of Honduras after winning the big soccer game.... yes... its a religion down there!!!

Tom and I were so happy to see that the Hondurans still are fans of Brazil!!! Love that!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Elder Lamb!!!! The big 19!!!!! We are so lucky that they celebrated his birthday and treated him like a king! It was so nice to see the little party they had for him; cake and a pinata and just made him feel awesome! Thank you to all of you who made his day so special!!! Much love from our family to yours!!!

Elder Lamb's companion was transferred last week and he was so excited to learn that his new companion is from Spanish Fork, Utah.  His name is Elder Winkel and is brand new to Honduras.  Elder Lamb was nervous and excited at the same time to find out that he was to be a senior companion and trainer.  He is having a blast and is continuing to work hard and he and Elder Winkel continue to study the language.

This is Elder Winkel and Elder Lamb at the baptism that they had.  What a great experience.

This is a great friend and missionary in the mission.  Zach gets along so well with Elder Tezen.  Mission Friends are friends for life!!!

We are so happy that Zach is having such a great time and special experiences on his mission.  He is teaching and learning and growing.  We are so blessed to have him serve and be a part of the lives of the wonderful people of Honduras.  We love him and know that the work that he is doing is the most wonderful work in the world.
